Join GC AI as a Senior Platform Engineer to build the foundational systems that support over 1,700 enterprise customers. You will own infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and observability on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring reliability and speed for the product team. This position requires shaping engineering direction and setting standards for infrastructure operations in a fast-growing environment.
What you'll do
- Own networking, compute, storage, and deployment pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, safe, and reliable deployments.
- Define and enforce Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Unify logging and observability to help engineers debug and operate with confidence.
- Maintain environment isolation and network boundaries to reduce operational risk.
- Reduce toil by improving tooling and building internal platform capabilities.
- Contribute to engineering culture and technical direction alongside backend teams.
What you'll need
- Experience managing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform including IAM and networking.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Strong TypeScript experience and technical judgment for backend collaboration.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and work effectively asynchronously.
- Located in the United States or Canada.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for coworking sessions and team off-sites.
Nice to have
- Experience acting as a technical lead with strong communication skills.
- Background in platform engineering, internal developer platforms, or developer tooling.
- Prior work in regulated or enterprise-focused environments.
- Familiarity with SRE practices, incident response, or on-call workflows.
