Join Runway's research team to develop AI systems that understand and simulate the physical world. You will work on multimodal foundational models, focusing on interactive world modeling and real-time generation capabilities.
The role requires a full-stack approach, bridging the gap between research prototypes and production applications. You will collaborate with product and creative teams to refine model behaviors and address specific application needs.
What you'll do
- Conduct experiments to teach world models new behaviors like action following
- Develop and test new data strategies, architectural variants, and training techniques
- Design evaluations to measure model capabilities and drive improvement
- Transition features from research prototypes to production environments
- Contribute across the entire stack including data pipelines and inference
What you'll need
- At least four years of experience in machine learning research or engineering
- Familiarity with architecture and training of large-scale multimodal generative models
- Experience building robust data pipelines for pretraining and post-training
- Comfort working across data, training, evaluation, and deployment stacks
- Proficiency with PyTorch or JAX and experience with distributed training at scale
- Ability to context-switch quickly in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment
