Join Spear AI to develop next-generation software for maritime security, processing data from sonobuoy sensors and U.S. Navy SONAR systems. You will build application components, manage real-time data feeds, and integrate machine learning models into a mission-critical platform.

The team operates with a flat hierarchy, allowing direct collaboration with leadership on projects that impact warfighter capabilities. Work is conducted remotely with a focus on code quality, performance, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Build application components and user interface pages
  • Implement historical and real-time data feeds using WebGPU
  • Design data models with Postgres and Apache Iceberg
  • Modify real-time pipelines using MQTT and Redpanda
  • Handle offline batch processing with Dagster
  • Integrate machine learning models into the application
  • Improve local development workflows and CI/CD via GitHub Actions

What you'll need

  • Expertise in TypeScript and CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS
  • Experience with React, Next.js, and state management
  • Proficiency with Node.js, GraphQL, and REST APIs
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Python programming
  • Commitment to high test coverage and code formatting
  • Focus on performance optimization and query speed

Nice to have

  • Experience with IoT devices and sensors
  • Background in digital signal processing
  • Knowledge of geospatial analysis and GIS
