As a Success Engineer at Metabase, you will assist software engineers, data engineers, and analysts in maximizing the value of their data tools. You will guide users through data transformation, query creation, and system optimization while serving as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Engage with users to understand their specific data goals and challenges
- Assist customers in designing and optimizing their Metabase setups
- Guide users on extracting, transforming, and querying their data effectively
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues reported by customers
- Collaborate with technical communicators to produce educational content
- Represent customer needs to product and engineering teams to influence development
What you'll need
- Passion for helping people solve technical problems
- Minimum three years of experience in coding, system administration, or database management
- Proficient in database concepts and SQL
- Expertise in at least two areas: web application development, infrastructure management (Docker, AWS, GCP), or database administration
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Metabase or other business intelligence tools
- Background in working with open source products
- Fluency in multiple languages to support a global user base
