Join BJAK as a Mobile Engineer to develop their AI-powered Neobank application. You will focus on creating clean, reliable, and intuitive mobile experiences for Android users, handling complex financial journeys like insurance claims and payments.
The team values fast execution and high ownership, looking for builders who prioritize user experience and code quality. You will collaborate with product and design teams to simplify financial products for millions of users in Southeast Asia.
What you'll do
- Build and ship Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Create mobile flows for insurance, payments, and financial services
- Collaborate with product and design to simplify user journeys
- Integrate backend APIs ensuring stability and security
- Optimize app performance, crash rates, and memory usage
- Use analytics and user behavior data to improve the product
- Implement AI-assisted features where they add genuine value
What you'll need
- 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin
- Strong fundamentals in shipping production mobile apps
- Proficiency with Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern architecture
- Solid understanding of mobile UX, usability, and edge cases
- Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues
- Ability to execute quickly with high ownership and quality focus
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
Nice to have
- Portfolio with app links, GitHub repos, or screenshots of shipped work
- Experience with both Android and iOS platforms
- Background in fintech or insurance applications
