Join Vultr's team to evolve and automate large-scale RDMA (RoCEv2) Ethernet fabrics. You will work at the intersection of network engineering, operations, and automation, treating networks as software systems. The goal is to keep global network fabrics fast, deterministic, and reliable through robust tooling and telemetry.

What you'll do

  • Automate deployment and operations of large-scale RDMA Ethernet fabrics
  • Build Ansible and Python frameworks for network provisioning and validation
  • Integrate automation with source-of-truth systems like NetBox and OpsMill
  • Develop telemetry pipelines using gNMI, Prometheus, and Kafka
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize RDMA performance and path symmetry
  • Implement CI/CD workflows for network configuration changes and rollbacks
  • Investigate complex network behaviors including flow hashing and ECMP
  • Contribute to design of next-generation GPU and AI interconnect fabrics

What you'll need

  • Solid understanding of EVPN-VXLAN, BGP, MLAG, QoS, and traffic engineering
  • Deep familiarity with RoCEv2, RDMA transport tuning, and lossless Ethernet
  • Strong experience with Ansible and languages like Python, Golang, or Rust
  • Comfort working with telemetry stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
  • Experience integrating with NetBox, Nautobot, or OpsMill for topology management
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD
