This independent contractor role focuses on securing and organizing media assets for a content production team. You will maintain a 10-bay QNAP NAS for long-term archives and manage its integration with Dropbox Business for active projects, ensuring reliable access for editors and global staff.
What you'll do
- Maintain health and configuration of the 10-bay QNAP NAS storage system
- Define workflows for moving active projects to Dropbox and archiving completed work
- Manage secure remote access permissions for team members needing archive files
- Implement and verify an independent secondary backup solution for irreplaceable footage
- Document system setup, recovery procedures, and account ownership details
- Provide ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting after initial system cleanup
What you'll need
- Must be physically based in the United States
- Experience building and maintaining business network systems
- Proven track record with NAS devices and cloud storage integrations like Dropbox
- Ability to document technical setups and processes clearly
- Available for hourly work with potential for future retainer agreement
