Join Onebrief as an Outcome Engineer to help transition software development from manual coding to automated outcome delivery. You will build the infrastructure that enables autonomous agents to collaborate, execute tasks, and self-heal in production environments.
This position is ideal for pioneers who actively build with AI agents and want to apply their skills to complex, real-world operational coordination problems. The team values intense collaboration and shipping tangible products over theoretical research.
What you'll do
- Design orchestration layers for multi-agent collaboration and task execution
- Create policy engines and guardrails for safe autonomous system operation
- Build semantic infrastructure like knowledge graphs and vector stores
- Develop testing harnesses for deterministic validation of agentic outputs
- Connect observability data to agent actions for self-healing capabilities
- Rapidly prototype and deploy agentic tools for internal and customer use
- Experiment with new models and orchestration techniques daily
What you'll need
- Proven history of shipping products, tools, or platforms
- Active experience building with AI agents in personal or professional projects
- Comfortable with intense, high-bandwidth synchronous collaboration
- Strong written communication skills for asynchronous clarity
- Willingness to share expertise and work across disciplines without silos
- Understanding of the difference between prototypes and production-ready software
Nice to have
- Background in software engineering, AI research, or game development
- Experience with product management or platform/SRE engineering
- Design skills focused on humane agentic systems
- Deep understanding of model emergent behavior and coordination
- Experience hitting limits of frameworks like LangChain or AutoGen
