Join Kong's Sales organization as a Staff Solutions Engineer supporting Enterprise and Strategic accounts in the UAE region. You will partner with Account Executives to lead technical sales cycles, demonstrating the value of Kong's API Management and Connectivity solutions to new and existing customers.
What you'll do
- Support field sales in explaining Kong API Management value
- Manage client relationships from discovery to production
- Lead proof of concepts during customer evaluation phases
- Onboard new customers and identify revenue opportunities
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve customer needs
- Create technical documentation for DevOps and services
- Generate leads through blogs, webinars, and industry events
What you'll need
- 7+ years in pre-sales Solution Engineering or similar roles
- Experience at SaaS, Open-source, or Enterprise Software firms
- Background working with Open-source technology
- Understanding of API Management and Cloud computing trends
- Ability to present to C-level executives and engineers
- Comfortable in fast-paced startup environments
Nice to have
- Experience with API Gateway or Service Mesh technologies
- Proficiency with Docker or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of NGINX, HTTP, AWS, Postgres, or Cassandra
- Fluency in Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of DCOS/Mesos or Docker Swarm
