Join webAI to develop an end-to-end platform that enables large-scale AI models on consumer hardware while keeping data private. You will design synchronization and networking systems for distributed environments, ensuring reliability across edge devices and cloud systems.
The team values trustless decentralized architectures similar to IPFS or torrents. You will collaborate with MLOps and Security teams to integrate AI components in restricted or air-gapped systems, prioritizing security and performance.
What you'll do
- Design advanced synchronization and networking systems for heterogeneous environments
- Architect data frameworks using content addressable storage, Merkle trees, and CRDTs
- Tune performance and debug distributed software under resource constraints
- Implement security-first designs with threat modeling and cryptographic primitives
- Collaborate with MLOps and Security teams on AI deployment in air-gapped systems
- Contribute to architectural design discussions and technical documentation
- Maintain rigorous testing and observability practices for system reliability
What you'll need
- 5-10+ years of experience with backend systems languages like C++, C, Go, or Rust
- Experience with peer-to-peer or decentralized networking frameworks
- Understanding of trustless decentralized systems and distributed concepts
- Willingness to work primarily in Rust, with support for learning the language
Nice to have
- Experience with technologies similar to IPFS or torrents rather than blockchain
- Knowledge of distributed hash tables, gossip protocols, DAGs, or NAT traversal
