Join the thinkorswim Performance Engineering team as a Senior Performance Engineer. You will independently drive performance and resiliency initiatives for a high-stakes Java trading platform, focusing on latency, scalability, and reliability.
The role requires building custom workloads, diagnosing bottlenecks through source code and JVM analysis, and recommending improvements across client, server, and cloud environments. You will translate production behavior insights into actionable design and configuration changes.
What you'll do
- Plan and deliver performance, scalability, and resiliency validation independently
- Analyze source code to diagnose bottlenecks using dumps, logs, and profilers
- Build workload generators, mock services, and automation frameworks
