As a Physician Advisor in the Digital & Technology Transformation line of business, you will bridge clinical needs with technological solutions. You will guide health systems through complex changes involving electronic health records, data strategies, and emerging technologies like AI. This role requires balancing client engagement delivery with firm leadership and business development activities.
What you'll do
- Lead delivery of complex consulting engagements for digital transformation
- Advise clients on clinical informatics strategy and operating models
- Guide EHR planning, implementation, and optimization efforts
- Assess and design clinical informatics programs and governance structures
- Drive clinician engagement and organizational change readiness
- Define and measure value from digital and AI investments
- Mentor client leaders and develop internal consulting colleagues
- Build trust-based relationships with existing and prospective clients
What you'll need
- Medical Doctor (MD or DO) degree is required
- Minimum 10 years working with healthcare providers
- At least 2 years of experience managing others
- 5+ years in provider leadership and operational management
- Experience leading informatics teams and EHR initiatives
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Superior communication abilities to motivate client action
- Proven ability to attract and develop high-functioning teams
Nice to have
- Advanced degree such as MBA, MHI, MHA, or MPH
- Formal training or certification in clinical informatics
- Prior management consulting experience
- Experience with Epic, Oracle Health, or Meditech systems
