Join a team creating high-quality STEM training data for frontier AI models. Your work will directly support leading AI labs by improving model reasoning in technical domains through rigorous problem design.

You will craft challenging, deterministic physics problems that require deep physical reasoning rather than memorization. Each submission must include a complete, verified solution and clear documentation of the reasoning process.

What you'll do

  • Design advanced physics problems for AI training and evaluation
  • Create deterministic tasks with exactly one verifiable correct answer
  • Write complete solutions and document the reasoning process clearly
  • Develop problems testing deep physical reasoning and multi-step analysis
  • Use Python or specialized tools to build simulations or models
  • Ensure all outputs are technically precise and well-written in English

What you'll need

  • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field
  • Strong research or industry experience in physics
  • Proficiency in Python and scientific libraries like numpy or scipy
  • Solid understanding of modeling, simulation, and numerical methods
  • Ability to design original, difficult problems reflecting real workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with simulation tools or domain-specific physics software
  • Background in computational physics, statistical mechanics, or quantum mechanics
  • Experience evaluating model reasoning or designing technical assessments

Stack

  • Python
  • numpy
  • scipy

How you'll work

  • Fully remote position
  • Contract / Part-time type
  • 20 to 40 hours per week commitment
  • Project duration of 2 months with potential extension
