Join a project creating high-quality STEM training data for frontier AI models. You will design deterministic physics problems with single correct answers to improve model reasoning in technical domains.
The role involves writing complete, verified solutions and documenting reasoning processes. Problems must test deep physical reasoning rather than simple memorization.
What you'll do
- Design advanced physics problems for AI training and evaluation
- Create deterministic tasks with exactly one verifiable correct answer
- Write complete solutions and document the reasoning process clearly
- Develop problems testing multi-step analysis and deep reasoning
- Use Python or specialized tools for simulations and models
- Ensure outputs are precise, reproducible, and written in English
What you'll need
- Master’s or PhD in Physics or closely related field
- Strong research or industry experience in physics
- Proficiency in Python and scientific libraries like numpy
- Solid understanding of modeling and numerical methods
- Ability to design original, difficult physics problems
- Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills
Nice to have
- Experience with simulation or domain-specific physics software
- Background in computational physics or quantum mechanics
- Experience evaluating model reasoning or benchmarking
Stack
- Python
- numpy
- scipy
How you'll work
- Fully remote position
- 20 to 40 hours per week
- Initial duration of 2 months
- Potential for contract extension
