Join a team generating high-quality STEM data to improve reasoning in frontier AI systems. You will design challenging, deterministic physics problems with single correct answers and complete solutions for use in AI training pipelines.

What you'll do

  • Design advanced physics problems for AI training and evaluation
  • Create deterministic tasks with exactly one verifiable correct answer
  • Write complete solutions and document the reasoning process clearly
  • Develop problems requiring deep physical reasoning and multi-step analysis
  • Use Python or specialized tools to build simulations or computational workflows
  • Ensure all outputs are technically precise, reproducible, and written in English

What you'll need

  • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field
  • Strong research or industry experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics
  • Proficient in Python with comfort using scientific libraries like numpy or scipy
  • Solid understanding of modeling, simulation, numerical methods, and problem solving
  • Ability to design original, difficult problems reflecting real physics workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with simulation tools or domain-specific physics software
  • Background in computational physics, statistical mechanics, or quantum mechanics
  • Experience evaluating model reasoning or designing technical assessments

Stack

  • Python
  • numpy
  • scipy

How you'll work

  • Fully remote position
  • Contract type engagement
  • 20 to 40 hours per week commitment
  • Initial project duration of 2 months with potential extension
