We generate high-quality STEM training data used by leading AI labs to improve model reasoning in technical domains. As a Physics Expert, you will craft rigorous, multi-step problems that test deep physical understanding rather than memorization.

Each task requires designing a problem with exactly one verifiable answer, accompanied by a complete solution and clear documentation of the reasoning process. This is a remote, part-time opportunity focused on enhancing AI capabilities in physics.

What you'll do

  • Design advanced physics problems for AI training and evaluation
  • Create deterministic tasks with exactly one correct answer
  • Write complete, verified solutions with documented reasoning
  • Develop problems requiring multi-step physical analysis
  • Use Python or specialized tools for simulations where relevant
  • Ensure all outputs are precise, reproducible, and in English

What you'll need

  • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field
  • Strong experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics
  • Proficient in Python and scientific libraries like NumPy or SciPy
  • Solid grasp of modeling, simulation, and numerical methods
  • Ability to design original, difficult problems reflecting real workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with finite element tools or circuit simulators
  • Background in computational physics or statistical mechanics
  • Knowledge of electromagnetism or quantum mechanics
  • Experience evaluating model reasoning or benchmarking

Stack

  • Python
  • NumPy
  • SciPy

How you'll work

  • Fully remote position
  • 20 to 40 hours per week
  • Contract type employment
  • Initial duration of 2 months
  • Potential for extension
