Join a team generating high-quality STEM data to improve reasoning in frontier AI systems. You will design challenging, deterministic physics problems with single correct answers and complete solutions for evaluation pipelines at leading AI labs.

What you'll do

  • Design advanced physics problems for AI training and evaluation
  • Create deterministic tasks with exactly one verifiable correct answer
  • Write complete solutions and document the reasoning process clearly
  • Develop problems testing deep physical reasoning and multi-step analysis
  • Use Python or specialized tools to build simulations or models
  • Ensure all outputs are technically precise and well-written in English

What you'll need

  • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field
  • Strong research or industry experience in theoretical or computational physics
  • Proficient in Python with scientific libraries like numpy or scipy
  • Solid understanding of modeling, simulation, and numerical methods
  • Ability to design original, difficult problems reflecting real workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with simulation tools or domain-specific physics software
  • Background in computational physics, statistical mechanics, or quantum mechanics
  • Experience evaluating model reasoning or designing technical assessments

Stack

  • Python
  • numpy
  • scipy

How you'll work

  • Fully remote position
  • Contract basis with potential extension
  • 20 to 40 hours per week commitment
  • Project duration of 2 months initially
