Join Vultr as a Platform Engineer to strengthen the infrastructure powering its global cloud platform. You will work on core services like VKE and VLB, engaging deeply with Kubernetes internals and container runtime integrations. What you'll do
- Build production-grade automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Go
- Develop core services behind VKE, VLB, VCR, and Inference
- Engage with Kubernetes internals including scheduler, kubelet, and CRDs
- Design and improve container runtime integrations like containerd and runc
- Architect CI/CD improvements and deployment pipelines for large-scale systems
- Harden infrastructure via vulnerability scanning and secrets management
- Contribute to open-source ecosystem including terraform provider and govultr
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams on feature delivery
What you'll need
- 5+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong experience with Kubernetes administration and internals
- Proficiency in Go and scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Deep knowledge of container security and runtime isolation
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipeline design
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and incident response practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills in networking and distributed systems

How you'll work
- Fully remote position
- $500 stipend for remote office setup in first year
- $400 annual stipend for following years
