You will serve as the technical front line for customers running Braintrust in their own cloud environments. The team handles infrastructure, performance, and reliability challenges, working closely with Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering groups to resolve complex deployment issues.
What you'll do
- Provide support for hybrid and self-hosted deployments across major cloud providers
- Debug Kubernetes workloads, networking, IAM permissions, and Terraform state
- Diagnose backend performance issues using logs, metrics, and traces
- Lead incident response and communicate clearly during critical outages
- Submit code fixes to backend services and deployment tooling
- Build diagnostic tools and self-service paths for customers
- Maintain runbooks and deployment documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation for customer-impacting issues
What you'll need
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles like SRE or DevOps
- Strong Kubernetes fundamentals for deploying and debugging workloads
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and at least one major cloud provider
- Ability to read and fix code in Python, TypeScript, or Go
- Proficiency with observability tooling and data-driven troubleshooting
- Clear communication skills under pressure
- Strong sense of ownership and follow-through
Nice to have
- Experience supporting self-hosted enterprise software in regulated environments
- Multi-cloud experience with Azure or GCP alongside AWS
- Depth in databases like Postgres or ClickHouse
- Familiarity with LLM APIs and agent evaluation
- Background in building support or diagnostic tooling
