Join the Applied Engineering team to bridge the gap between Deepgram’s speech technology and customer business needs. You will lead technical discovery, design custom solutions, and validate value for prospects while influencing product strategy through market insights.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discovery and solution design for enterprise prospects
- Architect and implement custom proof-of-concepts for specific use cases
- Provide expert guidance on API integration and deployment strategies
- Partner with Account Executives to navigate technical objections
- Create technical content including guides and reference architectures
- Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge
- Represent customer voice to product and engineering teams
What you'll need
- 5+ years in technical pre-sales or solutions architecture
- Strong software engineering background with professional development experience
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages
- Proven track record navigating complex technical sales cycles
- Experience building and demonstrating proof-of-concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with speech recognition, NLP, or AI/Voice agents
- Background in building customer-facing demos and sample code
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with API-first products and developer tools
- Familiarity with sales methodologies like MEDDIC or Solution Selling
