Council Capital seeks a Principal Architect to lead the design of AI-augmented capabilities that support payment integrity audits. You will define architectural standards, create reusable software assets, and ensure AI solutions are defensible, unbiased, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
This hands-on role requires collaborating with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver modular AI features. You will evaluate cloud technologies, establish governance policies, and guide the technical roadmap without direct management responsibilities initially.
What you'll do
- Produce a current-state architecture map within the first month
- Develop a prioritized AI integration roadmap within two months
- Lead the build and launch of an initial AI-augmented MVP
- Define and maintain architectural standards including API contracts
- Create reusable internal software assets like shared libraries
- Establish AI data governance policies with compliance teams
- Evaluate engineering and AI vendors for cost and capability
- Build methodologies for bias and performance testing
What you'll need
- 10+ years architecting cloud-native SaaS products
- Extensive experience with AWS and/or Azure design
- Proven track record integrating AI beyond simple API usage
- Hands-on familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Experience with packaged agent runtimes like Bedrock AgentCore
- Background in designing logically multi-tenant platforms
- Strong ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
- Judgment to build for extensibility and security
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare or regulated compliance environments
- Knowledge of systems architecture across integrated platforms
- Background in improving developer experience for internal teams
