Join a startup-like team inside Jobber tasked with reinventing how the company operates in the AI era. As the founding engineer, you will build new AI systems end-to-end, handling complex challenges like trust, security, and scale. You will work directly with executive leadership to embed AI into real workflows across the organization.
What you'll do
- Architect and build internal AI systems from design to production
- Ensure retrieval quality, permissions, security, and reliability at scale
- Work hands-on with LLMs, retrieval agents, and integrations
- Embed with cross-functional teams to ship AI into daily workflows
- Drive build-vs-buy evaluations and execute fast proof-of-concepts
- Collaborate weekly with executive leadership on strategic decisions
What you'll need
- Track record building production data or AI systems at Staff+ scope
- Deep experience with modern AI stack and handling AI errors
- Pragmatic approach to technology selection and tooling
- Experience as a founding engineer, consultant, or forward-deployed role
- Daily proficiency with AI tools and agents for development
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to executives
