As a senior individual contributor, you will translate ambitious product strategy into scalable systems. You will provide organization-level technical leadership, shaping how Product Engineering approaches complex cross-cutting problems and guiding long-term architectural investments.
The role requires balancing product velocity with engineering durability while integrating AI capabilities into core product experiences. You will work across teams to ensure security, privacy, and operational resilience are foundational to every architectural decision.
What you'll do
- Define architecture and technical direction for core product capabilities
- Establish engineering standards and reusable architectural patterns
- Drive long-term technical strategy balancing delivery and scalability
- Partner with Product, Design, and Security teams on technical decisions
- Guide integration of AI-powered capabilities into customer-facing products
- Influence key architectural decisions around distributed systems design
- Mentor engineers through technical leadership and design guidance
What you'll need
- Experience designing large-scale distributed systems for reliability
- Deep experience driving architecture across multiple teams or domains
- Strong systems-thinking instincts for platform boundaries and constraints
- Experience building customer-facing systems across clients and APIs
- Practical experience integrating AI or ML into production applications
- Strong instincts for privacy-preserving and security-conscious design
- Ability to drive alignment across teams with different priorities
Nice to have
- Experience in identity, authentication, or secrets management
- Background building multi-region distributed systems in cloud
- Experience with developer platforms or CI/CD systems
- Integrating LLMs into customer-facing SaaS applications
- Experience with endpoint trust or browser security
