Join a fast-growing technology company building advanced AI-powered infrastructure for enterprise clients. As a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own technically complex customer deployments and help define the organization's approach to forward deployment at scale.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and operational challenges
- Build, deploy, and customize production solutions within customer environments
- Develop integrations, automation scripts, APIs, and internal tooling
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product and engineering requirements
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application and infrastructure layers
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to enhance platform capabilities
- Own projects from technical discovery through deployment and iteration
- Create reusable solutions that scale across multiple customer accounts
- Improve deployment processes, documentation, observability, and reliability
- Serve as a technical advisor and trusted engineering partner to customers
What you'll need
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages
- Proven experience building and deploying production software
- Solid systems, API, integration, and debugging capabilities
- Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-moving environments
- Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills
- High sense of ownership and ability to drive projects independently
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/ML systems or infrastructure
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
- Background working at a startup or scale-up company
- Experience deploying software into complex enterprise environments
- Familiarity with LLMs, model serving, or AI agents
- Experience building developer tooling or automation
