As a Principal Software Engineer at BJAK, you will own the technical execution for major products and systems serving millions of users. You will design scalable architectures, write code, and drive critical engineering initiatives from concept to production while raising the overall engineering bar.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical initiatives
- Improve system quality through testing, security, and observability
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design skills for complex, high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding and prototyping
- Track record of leading major engineering projects to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
