As a Principal Software Engineer at BJAK, you will own the technical design and execution for major products and systems. You will work hands-on to build scalable solutions while driving architecture decisions and raising engineering standards across the organization.
This position requires strong leadership in solving complex engineering problems and turning ambiguous product needs into clear technical plans. You will collaborate with distributed teams to deliver reliable, high-scale systems from idea to production.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into technical solutions
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
- Improve system design, testing, security, and observability practices
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale apps
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding and prototyping
- Track record of leading major engineering projects to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
