As a Principal Software Engineer at BJAK, you will own the technical design and execution for major products and systems. You will work hands-on to design scalable architectures, write code, and drive critical engineering initiatives from concept to production while raising the overall engineering bar.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical initiatives
- Improve system design, testing, security, and observability practices
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong system design skills for complex, high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding and debugging
- Track record of leading major engineering projects to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
