As a Principal Software Engineer at BJAK, you will own the technical design and execution for major products and systems. You will work hands-on to build scalable infrastructure while driving architecture decisions and raising engineering standards across the organization.
This position requires strong leadership in solving complex engineering problems and turning ambiguous product requirements into clear technical solutions. You will collaborate with distributed teams to ensure reliability, security, and maintainability in high-scale environments.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major engineering initiatives
- Design scalable systems across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical projects
- Improve system quality through better testing and observability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into technical plans
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in distributed systems or cloud infrastructure
- Strong skills in system design and architecture
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills
