Doit is reinventing personal finance through AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution for major products used by millions in Southeast Asia.
This position requires a hands-on leader who designs systems, writes code, and mentors engineers. You will drive architecture decisions and solve complex engineering challenges in a distributed global team.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, prototype, review, and debug alongside the team
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Improve engineering quality via testing, security, and observability
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong system design skills for high-scale architectures
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex problems

- Experience scaling teams or systems during significant growth
- Background operating across multiple products or countries
