Doit is reinventing personal finance through AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution of major products, designing scalable systems across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
This hands-on leadership role involves driving architecture decisions, writing code, and mentoring engineers. You will transform ambiguous product challenges into clear technical solutions while raising engineering standards across the global team.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database architectures
- Write code, prototype features, and conduct code reviews
- Drive architecture trade-offs for speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
- Improve system design, testing, security, and observability
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in distributed systems or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design skills for high-scale applications
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs
- Strong English communication skills
