Doit is reinventing personal finance through AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution of major systems, designing scalable solutions while remaining deeply involved in coding and architecture decisions.
You will work with a distributed international team to build products used by millions in Southeast Asia. The position requires strong leadership skills to raise engineering standards and guide complex projects from concept to production.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, prototype features, and conduct code reviews
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product needs into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design skills for high-scale applications
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
