Doit is reinventing personal finance through AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution of major systems, designing scalable solutions while remaining hands-on with code. You will drive architecture decisions and mentor engineers in a distributed, international environment.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, database, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, prototype features, and conduct code reviews alongside the team
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, and cost
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical execution plans
- Improve engineering quality through better testing, security, and observability
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical initiatives across teams
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of experience building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with strong coding capabilities
- Track record of leading major engineering projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex production issues
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration

- Background operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
