Doit is reinventing personal finance through AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution for major products, designing scalable systems across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
This hands-on leadership role involves driving architecture decisions, writing code, and mentoring engineers. You will transform ambiguous product challenges into clear technical solutions while raising engineering standards across the global team.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database architectures
- Write code, prototype features, and conduct code reviews
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into technical execution plans
- Improve system design, testing, security, and observability practices
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience building and shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infra
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading major engineering projects to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve production issues
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration

- Background operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
