As a Principal Software Engineer, you will own the technical execution for major products, designing scalable systems across backend, frontend, and infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role involves driving architecture decisions and mentoring engineers in a global, distributed team.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable, reliable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, and infrastructure
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and cost
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical solutions and plans
- Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality through better practices and testing
- Remain hands-on by coding, prototyping, and solving production problems
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design and architecture skills for high-scale systems
- Proven track record of leading major engineering projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and influence other engineers
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience scaling engineering teams or systems through significant growth
- Experience operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
