You will own the infrastructure for a key client, focusing on system reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency. This hands-on position requires treating operations as an engineering problem, using modern tooling and AI to monitor and respond to system behavior.
As a senior team member, you will define measurable reliability goals, eliminate manual toil through automation, and mentor other engineers. You will collaborate with software developers and QA to embed quality early in the delivery process.
What you'll do
- Build and scale infrastructure with reliability and cost-efficiency in mind
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for system metrics
- Automate manual operational tasks using code and self-healing systems
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe and frequent shipping
- Partner with engineers and QA to embed reliability in testing and deployment
- Apply AI and AIOps to automate remediation and reduce alert noise
- Lead incident response and drive blameless postmortems for improvement
- Mentor engineers and define operational best practices for the team
What you'll need
- 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles
- Strong grasp of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and toil reduction
- Experience designing and operating modern CI/CD pipelines
- Solid skills in Infrastructure-as-Code like Terraform or Pulumi
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation tasks
- Strong observability experience with tools like Prometheus or Datadog
- Applied experience using AI/AIOps for anomaly detection or alerting
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring capabilities
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with Google Cloud Run
- Experience introducing AIOps tooling into observability stacks
- Background in performance and load testing
- Familiarity with security standards like SOC 2 or GDPR
