You will lead the product strategy for Wealthsimple's Financial Risk platform, balancing fraud prevention with user experience. Your work involves owning the Decision Platform, a real-time rules engine, and developing automation tools that support fraud operations teams in investigating and resolving cases efficiently.
What you'll do
- Define product vision for the Financial Risk platform, balancing protection and friction
- Drive roadmap for the real-time Decision Platform across various payment rails
- Build investigation tooling and automations to speed up case resolution
- Design extensible APIs and integration patterns for internal engineering teams
- Partner with Data Science on model integration and rule development feedback loops
- Own key risk metrics such as fraud loss rates and decision latency
- Break down complex infrastructure projects into incremental value-delivering phases
What you'll need
- 8+ years of product management experience in fraud, risk, or trust and safety
- Experience as a platform PM building systems consumed by other teams
- Strong technical fluency in streaming architectures and ML model integration
- Comfortable context-switching across decisioning, tooling, and regulatory reporting
- Proven ability to use quantitative analysis for prioritization and pattern identification
- Experience working directly with fraud operations and investigation workflows
- Strong communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
