Nest Health provides comprehensive medical and social care to high-risk families through in-home and virtual visits. As a Product Engineer, you will own specific product surfaces entirely, bridging the gap between user needs and technical implementation. You will migrate workflows from legacy systems like Salesforce while building new interfaces for clinicians and coordinators.

The team operates without dedicated product managers or designers, requiring engineers to engage directly with users and make design decisions. You will leverage AI agents daily and ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations while moving quickly on non-core features.

What you'll do

  • Own product surfaces end-to-end from problem discovery to shipping and measurement
  • Define requirements through conversations with clinicians rather than detailed specs
  • Migrate existing workflows from Salesforce or Athena to new custom solutions
  • Design information hierarchy and interactions for nurses and care coordinators
  • Build and integrate AI agents into daily workflows and product features
  • Ensure rigorous security and access control for protected health information

What you'll need

  • At least four years of experience shipping user-facing products
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript/React or Python with competence in the other
  • Experience designing interfaces that people use, not just implementing them
  • Comfortable working in AWS, ideally within HIPAA-aligned environments
  • Demonstrated ability to use agentic coding tools and write clearly
  • Ability to distinguish between surface requests and underlying problems

Nice to have

  • Experience with LLM features or offline-first architecture
  • Background in EHR integration or mobile development
  • Prior healthcare industry experience or data literacy

Stack

  • Python
  • FastAPI
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • AWS
  • Fargate
  • Postgres
  • RDS
  • Bedrock

How you'll work

  • Remote work environment
  • No dedicated PM or design team layer
  • Direct collaboration with clinicians and operators
  • Fast-paced startup setting with high autonomy

Hiring process

  • Submit a link to a built project or product teardown
  • Explain one decision you would defend and one you would change
  • Review occurs before resume evaluation
