Join Maze as one of the early engineering team members, working at the intersection of generative AI and cybersecurity. You will own feature development end-to-end, building elegant UI components and robust API infrastructure with significant autonomy.
The team values delivery velocity and product quality over process adherence. You will collaborate with designers and product managers while maintaining independence in technical execution and architectural decisions.
What you'll do
- Own feature development from front-end UI through API implementation and database layer
- Build intuitive interfaces using React, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, and TanStack ecosystem
- Design and maintain performant REST APIs using Python and FastAPI backend
- Optimize application performance across the stack, including database queries and rendering
- Make technical decisions quickly and execute without waiting for perfect requirements
- Participate in architectural planning and help shape front-end architecture
What you'll need
- 6+ years building production applications with balanced front-end and back-end skills
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript and React in production environments
- Proven track record building performant RESTful APIs with server-side frameworks
- Direct experience in B2B SaaS product companies building for business users
- Strong understanding of database interactions and query optimization for scale
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a bias for action
- Balance moving fast with high standards for code quality and customer experience
Nice to have
- Experience with Python and FastAPI for backend development
- Knowledge of Kubernetes or EKS for deployment environments
- Experience with Temporal workflow orchestration for distributed workflows
- PostgreSQL optimization skills and database performance tuning
- Experience integrating LLMs into production applications
- Familiarity with shadcn/ui, Radix UI, and TanStack ecosystem
- Background in design system or component library development
