Join the Pipes & Vault team at WorkOS to build the backbone of data infrastructure for AI agents. You will design APIs that connect third-party data sources to applications and create secure storage systems for credentials used across agent fleets.
This position blends shipped product work with internal R&D, allowing you to prototype new developer tools and contribute to open-source specifications while ensuring reliability and security.
What you'll do
- Design and build APIs, data connectors, and real-time pipelines for Pipes
- Architect encryption, secure storage, and key rotation systems for Vault
- Contribute to Pipes MCP specification for agent authority over integrations
- Collaborate with customers to understand security and compliance needs
- Work with leadership on greenfield ideas and internal R&D projects
- Help recruit and assess future engineering team members
What you'll need
- 5+ years of industry software development experience
- Experience working on small teams in fast-paced environments
- Background in security, encryption, storage, or multi-tenant data isolation
- Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence
- Intellectually curious and independently driven mindset
Nice to have
- Experience with TypeScript, React, and Postgres
- Background in B2B SaaS or developer tools industry
