The Radar team at WorkOS builds a real-time identity intelligence layer that helps developers detect risk and prevent threats. Engineers work on high-volume event processing, enriching data with signals to power workflows like blocking suspicious behavior or triggering reviews.
You will focus on detection quality, aiming for high precision with few false positives against active adversaries. The role requires digging into large datasets to find fraud patterns and designing models to detect them, directly impacting customer security.
What you'll do
- Design performant systems for real-time identity event processing
- Craft intuitive APIs and developer workflows for easy adoption
- Analyze large-scale authentication data to identify fraud patterns
- Design, test, and measure signals and models for threat detection
- Collaborate with customers to prototype solutions for fraud problems
- Ensure reliability, security, correctness, and observability
- Work with leadership on greenfield ideas and product direction
- Help recruit and assess future engineering team members
What you'll need
- 5+ years of industry software development experience
- Comfort working with data at scale and drawing conclusions
- Background in large-scale systems or event-driven architectures
- Intellectually curious with a scientific, data-driven mindset
- Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence
- Growth mindset and ability to form and test hypotheses
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning or anomaly detection
- Background in fraud and abuse detection
- Experience in B2B SaaS or developer tools industry
