As Tempo's first dedicated product security engineer, you will build security systems from scratch for a blockchain designed for stablecoins and real-world payments. You will create tooling, manage incidents, and partner with engineering teams to secure high-volume payment infrastructure used by major global enterprises.
What you'll do
- Deploy security tooling across endpoints, supply chain, and infrastructure
- Identify and fix security gaps in production systems and pipelines
- Lead end-to-end incident response including triage and post-mortems
- Collaborate with engineering on secure design reviews
- Establish repeatable security practices for building and monitoring
- Enhance supply-chain security for dependencies and build systems
- Scale application-security coverage as the product grows
What you'll need
- 5–8 years of hands-on product or application security experience
- Experience building security practices in companies of 100–500 people
- Strong coding skills for building tooling and automation
- Deep experience managing high-severity incidents end-to-end
- Knowledge of hosting, network security, and system integrations
- Proficiency in threat modeling and secure code review
- Ability to communicate technical security decisions clearly
