You will serve as the internal authority on property claims, guiding product development with deep operational knowledge. Your focus is on turning real-world adjusting judgment into defensible digital workflows, quality standards, and measurable improvements for major insurers.
What you'll do
- Review end-to-end property claims lifecycle to find automation opportunities
- Ensure core claims data integrity across product and financial systems
- Define standards for inspection quality, documentation, and estimate accuracy
- Partner with Engineering and Analytics to resolve systemic workflow issues
- Translate complex claims concepts into frameworks for non-expert teams
- Influence roadmap decisions using financial and operational evidence
- Improve how property damage data is collected and structured for AI models
What you'll need
- 5+ years hands-on P&C property claims experience at a major carrier
- Deep command of FNOL, inspection, scoping, reserving, and settlement
- Track record of diagnosing root causes in complex claims workflows
- Experience defining standards for claim completeness and data integrity
- Ability to structure high-value work independently without detailed direction
- Clear communication skills to teach Product and Engineering teams
- Judgment on where automation adds value versus where human review is needed
Nice to have
- Experience in both field and desk adjusting roles
- Background in complex, high-severity, or commercial property claims
- Experience improving inspection imagery or AI-driven claims workflows
- History of contributing domain expertise to product roadmap decisions
