Kraken is transforming the global energy industry with technology that optimizes renewable generation and builds intelligent grids. As Program Director, you will take full accountability for a marquee US utility flexibility deployment, bridging the gap between technical execution and executive strategy.

You will drive the program from initial planning through to long-term value realization, ensuring seamless coordination across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams. This role demands a hands-on leader who can navigate regulated utility environments while securing commercial success.

What you'll do

  • Lead the program end-to-end from day one through implementation and value realization
  • Manage delivery timelines, decision-making, coordination, and execution directly
  • Produce necessary documentation and assets to bridge functional gaps during delivery
  • Build and maintain credibility with senior stakeholders at major US electric utilities
  • Align product, engineering, delivery, and customer teams without direct reporting lines
  • Hold accountability for business case, value realization, and revenue linkage

What you'll need

  • Senior-level experience as Director, Senior Director, or Head-of in program leadership
  • Deep expertise in grid modernization, Demand Response, DERs, VPPs, and DERMS
  • Proven track record managing regulated US electric-utility stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience driving core project management rather than delegating to PMO
  • Strong commercial acumen with history of P&L exposure or solution ownership
  • Must have right to work in the country of application at time of hiring

Nice to have

  • Based on the US East Coast with exposure to Virginia or Mid-Atlantic utilities
  • Experience leading grid-side flexibility work for specific physical constraints
  • Recognized presence in the US utility or flexibility ecosystem

How you'll work

  • Fully remote position
  • Focus on US utility markets
  • No visa sponsorship available
