You will own the trading and markets layer at Pod Network, including the order book, perpetuals engine, and risk management systems. Your work involves translating deep knowledge of market microstructure and derivatives into production code that powers live global markets.
The team is rebuilding market infrastructure from first principles to ensure fair and fast execution. You will configure market parameters, operate internal market making strategies, and collaborate with researchers on incentive design and settlement models.
What you'll do
- Maintain core trading modules like order books and perpetuals engines
- Configure market parameters such as fees, tick sizes, and margin tiers
- Design and deploy on-chain financial primitives including vaults and AMMs
- Operate internal market maker and coordinate with external liquidity providers
- Monitor live markets for anomalies and adjust risk safeguards accordingly
- Collaborate with research teams on batch auction mechanics and incentives
What you'll need
- Deep understanding of order books, matching, and derivatives mechanics
- Experience in market making, quant trading, or exchange system design
- Ability to translate market knowledge into production code
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, C++, or Go for trading systems
- Strong reasoning skills for correctness under live trading conditions
Nice to have
- Experience with DeFi, AMMs, or perpetual DEXs
- Background in low-latency or high-frequency trading systems
- Knowledge of blockchains, consensus, or distributed systems
