Lead electrical engineering efforts for Google Data Centers across North America, providing technical expertise and strategic direction. You will oversee design implementation, support on-site teams, and drive continuous improvement in power systems and infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Provide technical leadership to on-site Data Center Solutions teams
- Manage electrical designs from Basis of Design to construction documents
- Act as escalation point for site-specific engineering requests
- Coordinate system-level schematics with core engineering teams
- Guide contractors and vendors during project execution
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
- 12 years in mission-critical facility design and construction
- 12 years in electrical design, operations, and commissioning
- 5 years of experience in leadership roles
- Expertise in substations, switchgear, and emergency power systems
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Engineering or Business
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Experience with medium voltage systems
- Background in cross-discipline team collaboration
- Knowledge of SCADA tools and power management systems
