As a Research Engineer or Scientist Coach, you will partner with members to help them achieve career goals, improve leadership skills, and navigate complex work environments. You will provide guidance through virtual sessions while participating in Mento’s ICF-certified training program to master their coaching methodology.
What you'll do
- Provide 1:1 coaching to members via virtual sessions on the Mento Platform
- Communicate with members between sessions through email or chat
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance coaching abilities
- Share insights and tools to improve community coaching practices
- Act as an empathetic ambassador for the Mento community
What you'll need
- 15+ years leading technical research teams in tech or adjacent industries
- Strong background in theoretical and applied AI/ML or mathematical sciences
- Experience as a director, VP, or senior research leader
- Ability to dedicate 3-5 hours per week for at least 24 months
- Based in North America or Europe
- High emotional intelligence and self-awareness
Nice to have
- PhD degree
- Publications or patents in top research organizations
- Prior coaching certification
- Experience coaching individuals
How you'll work
- Fully remote position
- Candidates must be based in North America or Europe
- Minimum 12+ hours per month commitment
- Contract role paid per hour with performance bonuses
- Minimum engagement period of 24 months
