Join ElevenLabs as an AI Safety Engineer focused on preventing abuse of free-tier services. You will operationalize guardrail systems and build production-grade safety infrastructure from the ground up. Working with ML and full-stack engineers, you will bridge the gap between research models and scalable deployment.
What you'll do
- Design scalable backend infrastructure for abuse detection
- Deploy AI and ML models into production systems
- Architect APIs and data pipelines for moderation workflows
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
- Partner with ML engineers to integrate research models
- Drive technical decisions for platform guardrails
What you'll need
- Experience tackling free-tier abuse or fraud at scale
- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python and asynchronous frameworks
- Expertise in distributed systems and data pipelines
- Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana
Nice to have
- Background in Trust & Safety or Content Moderation
- MLOps experience including model deployment and versioning
- Familiarity with SQL and data analysis tools
- Experience with real-time streaming systems like Kafka
- Knowledge of React or modern frontend frameworks
