Join Socket as a Sales Engineer to bridge the gap between enterprise clients and internal technical teams. You will provide technical education, guide implementations, and translate customer requirements into business value while supporting the sales cycle.
The team works on securing open source code for major organizations. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure successful customer adoption and retention.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discussions and product demonstrations for prospective clients
- Create technical content to guide customers in specific use case implementations
- Support Proof of Concepts by providing expertise and troubleshooting during evaluations
- Advise customers on integrating solutions into their existing infrastructure
- Communicate customer feedback and needs to Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams
- Collaborate with Customer Success to drive retention and post-sales revenue growth
- Execute cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Sales, and Marketing
What you'll need
- Seven or more years of pre-sales experience in Sales or Solutions Engineering
- Hands-on experience with enterprise customers in security or technical SaaS
- Ability to read and write basic scripts in Python, JavaScript, or Golang
- Familiarity with web APIs, SDKs, and other technical frameworks
- Experience with open source ecosystems and vulnerability management or SCA
- Knowledge of source control managers such as GitLab or Bitbucket
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Empathetic approach to understanding and solving customer challenges
Nice to have
- Computer Science degree or equivalent industry experience
- Experience working with medium to large customers up to 1000 employees
- Relevant security domain experience with vulnerability management tools
- Experience with AI technologies and Large Language Models
