Join the Security Operations team at Synthesia, a leading AI video platform. You will drive technical security improvements across cloud infrastructure and build automated detection and response capabilities.
This position requires a builder mindset to ship production changes, harden Kubernetes environments, and develop internal tooling that reduces operational toil while enhancing security posture.
What you'll do
- Implement technical security improvements across AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure
- Design and iterate on detection and response capabilities using SIEM and CNAPP tools
- Investigate security alerts from triage through to eradication and recovery
- Build internal security tooling and automations to reduce manual toil
- Ship production changes directly to cloud infrastructure and DevOps systems
What you'll need
- 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience in cloud-first SaaS environments
- Deep expertise in AWS or GCP security including IAM, networking, and logging
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes security, cluster hardening, and runtime policies
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages plus Infrastructure-as-Code like Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD security, secrets management, and secure platform patterns
- Proven ability in incident response, playbook creation, and alert automation
Nice to have
- Experience with tools such as Wiz, CrowdStrike, Okta, or Github
- Relevant certifications like AWS Certified Security, OSCP, or GIAC GWEB
- Background in fast-growing startups or scale-up companies
- Advanced coding skills with a focus on agent-based security solutions
