This Senior Security Engineer position supports the full vulnerability management lifecycle, from identification to remediation tracking. You will operate scanning tools, analyze security findings, and translate complex risks into actionable steps for application and infrastructure teams.
What you'll do
- Support end-to-end vulnerability management from assessment to remediation tracking
- Operate and maintain scanning capabilities using Tenable Security Center
- Analyze findings to determine risk and communicate priorities to tech teams
- Develop detailed remediation guidance and recommend compensating controls
- Coordinate remediation activities with application owners and infrastructure teams
- Create clear technical documentation for independent execution by partners
- Manage findings ingestion within Brinqa or similar platforms
- Align processes with compliance requirements like PCI, HIPAA, and SOX
What you'll need
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with strong vulnerability management focus
- Deep understanding of vulnerability lifecycle and risk-based prioritization
- Experience with Tenable products, preferably Tenable Security Center
- Proven ability to analyze vulnerabilities and produce remediation guidance
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong written communication skills for explaining risk to technical partners
- Organizational skills to coordinate activities across multiple teams
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure and GCP cloud environments
- Knowledge of PCI, HIPAA, or SOX compliance standards
- Scripting skills in Perl, Python, Ruby, or shell
- Familiarity with Brinqa or similar platforms
- Exposure to Operational Technology environments
